Anna Ekborg is currently one of the most prominent fiddlers on the Swedish Folk Music scene, both as a solo artist and as a member of ensembles such as Swedish Grammy nominees Northern Resonance. In 2021, Anna released the critically acclaimed debut album SOLO which was nominated for a Swedish grammy, named solo album of the year by Lira Music Magazine and won prize for folk music of the year at the independent music awards “Manifestgalan” and Dalecarlia Music Awards.
In this conversation we speak about Anna’s musical background and her feelings about releasing an album completely solo.
